Job summary

WellStar Health System is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate patients and develop the speech/language plan of care across the continuum, in collaboration with physicians.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and current SLP licensure, along with strong communication and teamwork skills. Duties include documentation, patient education, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master's in Speech Pathology or related field required.
• All certifications required upon hire.
• SLP license to practice (state licensure) required.
• Basic computer skills and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Implements the speech language therapy treatment plan.
• Selects appropriate treatment activities to progress patients toward goals.
• Revises goals with patient/family input.
• Provides discharge instructions and follow-up.
• Acts as a referral source for rehab services.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care per guidelines.
• Maintains confidentiality and infection prevention.
