Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Hospital Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol & Computer Operations) in Ashburn, VA. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff within a hospital.

The role supports a safe, welcoming environment and uses our Shift platform to claim additional shifts. Minimum requirements include high school diploma, background check, and 18+ (21+ for armed roles) with healthcare setting experience preferred.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a hospital setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence to help deter incidents, and support a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to security-related concerns, assisting with visitor inquiries, and helping maintain a calm and orderly hospital environment. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with wayfinding, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership or appropriate responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities while maintaining professionalism and respect for patient privacy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
