Job summary

Allied Universal in Lorain, OH is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) specializing in hospital access control. You will deliver patient and visitor support while patrolling and monitoring entrances, ensuring safety and compliance with site procedures.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, documenting incidents, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security threats in a healthcare setting. Prior access control or badge experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles; HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, coordinating with site personnel and responders.
• Conduct unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete incident reports and logs, maintaining professionalism in a healthcare environment.
