Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the hospital pharmacy at AMG Specialty Hospital - Hancock Campus and seeks a Part-Time Hospital Pharmacist to work 12-16 hours per week with shared on-call responsibilities. The Pharmacist II will adjust and dispense medications, verify orders, supervise Pharmacy Technicians, and ensure accreditation compliance.

Hours are Monday–Friday 8AM–5PM and 8AM–12PM on weekends; candidates must be Indiana-licensed, with inpatient hospital experience preferred, and willing to work

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in Indiana in good standing and eligible for hospital practice.
• In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Willing to work various shifts and obtain IV experience if needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to educate patients.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician orders and dispenses medications using the pharmacy information system.
• Supervises Pharmacy Technicians and ensures compliant operations.
• Maintains accreditation, narcotics control, and inventory procedures.
• Educates patients and collaborates with nurses and physicians as needed.
• Manages dosages and antimicrobial stewardship tasks.
