Job summary

FreshDirect LLC is seeking a part-time Custodian to clean and service hospital and office areas under the Custodial Manager. You will perform floor care, carpet maintenance, waste handling, sinks and fixtures cleaning, and dusting while maintaining safe, efficient work practices.

The role emphasizes floor work, high place cleaning, and routine maintenance with a focus on hygiene and order in a healthcare/office setting. High school or equivalent preferred; 6 months custodial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Six (6) months of custodial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, and wet washes floors; uses buffing machines as needed.
• Vacuuming, spot cleaning, or shampooing carpets when assigned.
• Operates floor machines, automatic scrubbers, wall washing equipment, and related cleaning tools.
• Collects and transports refuse; relines refuse containers with bags.
• Washes sinks and plumbing fixtures; replaces disposables like paper towels and soap.
• Dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Cleans top of windows, door frames and other high places.
• Polishes metal or bright work; polishes glass/enamel fixtures.
• Changes and cleans venetian blinds and drapes.
• Strips or scrubs and refinishes floors when assigned.

Education
