Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a part-time janitor to perform general cleaning and preservation inside a building or multiple client sites. The role requires flexibility to adapt to client specifications and maintain cleanliness to high standards.

The position includes tasks such as floor care, restroom upkeep, trash disposal, window cleaning, carpet spot care, and stocking supplies. Training provided; emphasis on reliability and detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• On the job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Nice to have: prior cleaning or janitorial experience; familiarity with custodial practices; floor care knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming).
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors and surfaces.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash and manage waste disposal; operate a compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets and assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow the housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, buffers).
• Perform other duties as needed by scope of work or client.
