Job summary

Allied Services is seeking a Custodian to support hospital and office cleaning under the direction of the Custodial Manager. The role involves floor care, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, waste handling, and upkeep of sinks, fixtures, furniture, blinds and high surfaces, with periodic refinishing as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least six months of custodial experience. This on-site role focuses on safe, efficient cleaning in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• 15% Sweeps, mops, and wet washed floors. Periodically cleans and/or polishes floors using buffing machines.
• 15% Vacuums, spot cleans, or shampoos carpets when assigned.
• 15% Uses floor machines, automatic scrubbers, wall washing equipment, waste collecting equipment, etc.
• 10% Collects and transports refuse; cleans and relines refuse containers with plastic bags.
• 10% Washes sinks and other plumbing fixtures and replaces disposables such as paper towels and soap.
• 10% Dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture including beds.
• 5% Cleans top of windows, door frames and other high places.
• 5% Polishes metal or other bright work. Scours glass or enamel fixtures.
• 5% Changes and cleans venetian blinds and drapes.
• 10% Strips or scrubs and refinishes floors when assigned.

Education
