Job summary

Three Meadows Post Acute is seeking a Part Time Cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. The role requires preparing meals in large quantities, following menus, and ensuring sanitary kitchen conditions.

The position involves diet accuracy, serving meals, and assisting with staff training while maintaining food presentation and safety standards in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long term care facility for not less than one year.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and technical procedures.
• Ability to present food appealing to residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals in large quantities following prepared menus and portion controls.
• Assist in serving meals and correct temperatures; prepare pureed foods as needed.
• Report resident care concerns to Administrator/Director of Nurses and assist with training of dietary staff.
