Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Socorro, NM is hiring a part-time housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role involves performing environmental services according to established safety and quality standards.

The position requires less than a high school education and experience in housekeeping (less than one year). A current New Mexico driver’s license and ability to be insured by Presbyterian are also required.

Qualifications

• Less than high school; less than one year experience in housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all areas according to departmental standards.
• Ensures proper infection control procedures when processing linen, trash, medical waste, and performing cleaning tasks.
• Demonstrates awareness of the PI Program, Excellence in Action, Competencies, and the Mission & Vision of SGH.
• Maintains and uses housekeeping equipment properly and safely.
• Reports pertinent information to the supervisor or appropriate authority.
• Performs departmental record keeping.
• Performs all duties necessary to ensure appropriate linen and supply levels.
• Performs floor care.
