Job summary

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is seeking a Part-Time Food Service Worker to join our cafeteria and patient meal service team. You will prepare, serve, and deliver meals with strong customer service, while maintaining HACCP standards and sanitation guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, willingness to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days, and hospital food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital food service experience preferred.
• FHC - Food Handlers Certificate required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Serve food on the cafeteria and patient tray lines with strong customer skills.
• Assemble, deliver and retrieve patient trays.
• Document food delivery times and food tallies; perform temperature checks and report variances.
• Performs simple food assembly such as preparing salads, portioning and garnishing foods according to instruction.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, wares, walls, and floors routinely.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, pots and pans and all cooking utensils and equipment per standards.
• Label and date foods per HACCP standards and learn HACCP sanitation guidelines.
• Follow FIFO system of food production and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Collect and deliver floor stock using FIFO; deliver between-meal nourishments and late trays.
• Maintain clean, safe areas per sanitation standards and hand hygiene; perform other duties as assigned.
