Riverside Doctors' Hospital Williamsburg is seeking a Part-time Food Service Cook to support patient and guest meals. The role focuses on timely meal preparation, accurate portioning, and adherence to safety standards.

You will follow therapeutic menus and allergy guidelines, assist on tray lines and cafeteria service, and help maintain clean, organized kitchen operations in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year food preparation experience in high-volume environment preferred.
• Allergen Awareness Certification - VA State within 180 days (Required).
• Food Handlers Card - VA State within 30 days (Required) or Food Protection Manager Certification (Required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for patient and non-patient services following recipes and instructions.
• Maintain knowledge of food safety, infection control and sanitation compliance requirements.
• Ensure proper temperatures, quality, sanitation and storage at all steps.
• Support tray line and cafeteria serving with correct portion control and plating.
• Follow therapeutic menus and allergy guidelines to ensure safe patient meals.
• Prepare special request food items and assist prep work as needed.
