Legacy Hospice is seeking a Part Time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to manage our volunteer program in Winchester and Fredericksburg. The role involves recruiting, training, supervising, and retaining volunteers while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year experience as a Volunteer Coordinator in a health care setting preferred.
• Must be compassionate, organized, and excited to work in a fast-paced meaningful environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
• Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including background in EMR.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, interview, screen, and coordinate patient volunteers.
• Establish need for volunteer services with patient, family, and hospice team.
• Arrange volunteers to provide services per the plan of care.
• Supervise volunteers and evaluate performance annually.
• Develop and oversee an active volunteer network for direct and indirect care.
• Monitor time logs, data entry, and patient documentation for compliance.
