Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Richmond, VA is seeking a Part-Time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to support our local hospice office. The role involves coordinating the volunteer program across the Richmond area and supervising both office and field volunteers to ensure quality support services.

Responsibilities include planning volunteer services, recruiting and training volunteers, maintaining records, ensuring COP compliance, and collaborating with staff to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service and quality hospice care with focus on coordination and delivery of volunteer services
• Demonstrated record of strong interpersonal skills, goal achievement, successfully taking on more responsibility with positive results and ambition to grow
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise delivery of all volunteer services
• Partner with all office staff in coordinating and supervising administrative volunteer services
• Assess and monitor a record-keeping system which includes services delivered and actual time involved
• Recruit, interview and select volunteers
• Design and supervise the orientation and training of volunteers
• Facilitate and support volunteer retention activities
• Monitor and evaluate volunteers’ performance
• Assure volunteers’ compliance with BAYADA’s policies and procedures
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation (COPs)
• Stay current with federal and state volunteer rules and regulations
• Plan and coordinate volunteer support meetings
• Together with entire office staff, answer phones, greet visitors and generate correspondence as necessary for office needs
