Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Hospice Nurse Practitioner for a part-time, on-site role in North Carolina. You will provide hospice NP services, assess patients at home, coordinate with the care team, and support symptom management for comfort at home.

The position requires an active NP license, CPR certification, and Medicare billing knowledge, with prior hospice or NP experience preferred. Flexible scheduling supports work–life balance for clinicians providing home-based care.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of employment.
• Knowledge of Medicare billing for home health and hospice levels of service.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience as NP or hospice RN within the last 3 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate significant findings and changes to the clinical manager and interdisciplinary team.
• Complete face-to-face encounters and assess disease changes, function decline, pain and symptom management.
• Order and review labs, imaging and other diagnostics as needed and document treatment plans.
• Make referrals to other disciplines as indicated by patient needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences.
