Job summary

AccentCare Inc. in Kendall, FL is seeking a Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual care for patients and families in a compassionate, inter-faith manner.

This part-time role includes on-call rotation and physical presence in the Kendall area as part of a South Miami outreach. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, is ordained/credentialed, and has CPE units, with hospice or healthcare spiritual care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or divinity school.
• Three CPE units (ACPE) required.
• Ordained, credentialed, or commissioned per religious org./tradition.
• Experience in hospice care preferred.
• Minimum one-year supervised experience in medical/educational or religious setting.

Responsibilities

• Support families through anticipatory grief and bereavement processes.
• Complete spiritual needs assessment for patients admitted to hospice services.
• Serve as liaison to patient and family’s faith community.
• Coordinate with patient/family’s clergy or spiritual caregivers as needed.
• Foster relationships to empower patients and families in their spiritual journey.
