Job summary

Cherish Hospice in the United States is seeking a part-time Hospice Biller to manage billing operations and ensure accurate, timely claim processing. The role requires knowledge of hospice billing regulations and the ability to collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hospice medical billing experience, strong ICD-10, CPT, and HIPAA knowledge, and excellent organizational and communication skills to support compliant, efficient

Qualifications

• 3 years hospice medical billing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in medical billing a plus.
• Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HIPAA regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with clinical staff and payers.

Responsibilities

• Process hospice claims accurately and in a timely manner.
• Upload NOE and NOTR to Medicare per regulatory timelines.
• Review and correct billing errors; follow-up with payers.
• Maintain accurate patient records and billing data.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure correct billing for services.
• Stay up-to-date with billing regulations and coding guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize billing processes.
