Job summary

UT Medical Center Home Care Services in Morristown, TN is seeking a part-time Bereavement Coordinator to join our hospice team. You will develop and supervise the bereavement program, delivering supportive services to families during loss and bereavement, and coordinating with staff and volunteers to provide comprehensive end-of-life care.

Qualifications include graduate social work training (MSW preferred) and LCSW, with 2+ years in healthcare or hospice.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited institution of social work, preferred.
• At least two years of healthcare or hospice experience, preferred.
• Must have experience or education in grief or loss counseling.
• LCSW required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the bereavement services program utilizing professional staff and volunteers.
• Oversees adequacy and appropriateness of bereavement programs for patients and family members.
• Develops new bereavement programs and services as needed.
• Develops educational programs and materials for patients, families, staff, and the community regarding loss, grief, and coping with bereavement.
• Assists agency leadership in educational training program.
• Plans, implements, and supervises bereavement group events.
• Supervises support staff involved in bereavement program.
• Oversees bereavement follow-up by patient care staff and volunteers.
