Job summary

Colorado State University invites applications for part-time instructors to facilitate Structured Mentoring Opportunities in the Honors Program. These one‑credit, variable-content courses provide hands‑on learning, connecting students with real‑world contexts under experienced mentors.

Instructors serve as facilitators, guiding students, responding to current needs, and adapting to interdisciplinary, applied scholarship.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching and/or facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in the field proposed.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Structured Mentoring Opportunities that connect students with real-world contexts.
• Guide students in developing practical skills and insight through structured mentoring experiences.
• Create learning environments that reflect the instructor’s disciplinary expertise and respond to current academic/community needs.
• Facilitate experiential opportunities in areas such as research support, civic engagement, and professional skill-building, based on the instructor’s strengths and proposed area of focus.
• Appointments are based on program need and enrollment.
• Specific duties will be defined at the time of hire by the supervising faculty member.
