Job summary

Colorado State University’s Honors Program seeks qualified individuals to facilitate part-time Structured Mentoring Opportunities for Honors students. These one-credit, variable-content courses connect students with real-world contexts to develop practical skills under an experienced mentor.

As instructors, you design engaging seminars aligned with CSU’s mission of applied, interdisciplinary, and professional scholarship.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching and/or facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in field proposed.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Structured Mentoring Opportunities that connect students with real-world contexts.
• Guide students in developing practical skills and insight through structured mentoring experiences.
• Create learning environments that reflect the instructor’s disciplinary expertise and respond to current academic and/or community needs.
• Facilitate experiential opportunities in areas such as research support, civic engagement, and professional skill-building, based on the instructor’s strengths and proposed area of focus.
• Appointments are based on program need and enrollment.
• Specific duties will be defined at the time of hire by the supervising faculty member.
