Job summary

JTC Home Health Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our interdisciplinary team serving patients in Alpine, CA and surrounding East County. You’ll provide one-on-one care in patients’ homes and help them regain function.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, guiding exercises, documenting progress in the EHR, and educating patients and families on home programs. Requires CA PTA license, CAPTE-accredited degree, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• CAPTE-accredited PTA program required.
• Current, active CA PTA license.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on clinical experience; home health experience a plus.
• Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills; able to work independently in a home setting.

Responsibilities

• Implement delegated components of the PTA treatment plan.
• Provide skilled therapeutic exercises, gait training, and other modalities as ordered.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and changes to the Supervising PT and team.
• Educate patients and families on body mechanics, use of adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs.
• Ensure timely documentation using the agency's EHR system.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic home environment.
