Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services in the St. Louis area is seeking a Home Help CNA for weekend day shifts (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), part-time weekends only. Candidates must have a valid CNA certification and experience with older adults.

You will assist with activities of daily living, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and travel to appointments, with a $1.00/hour weekend differential and a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, feeding, dressing, bathing, toileting, mobility).
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry for clients.
• Monitor changes in client condition and report to RN or staff.
• Prepare meals and assist during mealtimes.
• Accompany client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Remind client to take medications per directive.
• Complete paperwork and document tasks in client records.

*Home Help CNA – Weekend Day Shift(STL)**MUST HAVE CNA**Shifts between 8AM-4:30PM**Part-Time Weekends Only! **$1.00 Shift Differential Included! **Schedule:* Day shift on weekends, with the option to work every other weekend or every weekend.*Summary*A Home Help Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing personal and healthcare services according to written directions prepared by the Home Help client care coordinator; Maintains the Core Values that support the Christian Mission of EverTrue, “Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest”.*Responsibilities** Assists in activities of daily living (personal hygiene, eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, exercise and ambulation).* Provides household duties such as bed making, personal laundry, ironing and light housekeeping.* Observes the client closely and identifies changing needs and conditions; communicates changes in physical or emotional status of client to Home Help RN or appropriate office staff.* Provides meal preparation based on client’s needs; assists client during mealtimes and feeds clients that need full assistance.* May accompany client to doctor appointments; may do shopping or run errands.* May remind client to take medications.* Communicates with home help office staff regarding schedule of availability.* Completes all necessary paperwork and submits according to company policy.* Documents all tasks performed in client’s home on appropriate paperwork.*Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
