Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a Home Help Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for a weekend morning shift (7:00 AM–12:00 PM). The role provides personal care and daily living assistance to older adults in home settings within MO/IL areas.

You will assist with hygiene, meals, mobility, light housekeeping, and documentation, coordinating with the Home Help RN. Weekend coverage and travel to client homes are required.

Formación

• Current CNA certification is required.

• Good communication skills required.

Home Help Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) – Weekend Morning Shift (*7AM-12PM)*A Home Help Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities according to written directions prepared by the Home Help Client Care Coordinator.*Schedule:* 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, every weekend or every other weekend.Responsibilities* Assists with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, exercise, and ambulation.* Provides household duties such as bed making, personal laundry, ironing, and light housekeeping.* Observes the client closely and identifies changing needs and conditions. Communicates changes in the client’s physical or emotional status to the Home Help RN or appropriate office staff.* Provides meal preparation based on the client’s needs. Assists clients during mealtimes and feeds clients who need full assistance.* May accompany clients to doctor appointments, assist with shopping, or run errands.* May remind clients to take medications.* Communicates with Home Help office staff regarding schedule availability.* Completes all necessary paperwork and submits it according to company policy.* Documents all tasks performed in the client’s home on the appropriate paperwork.Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.* Current CNA certification.* Previous experience working with the older adult population.* Prior experience in private duty or long-term care preferred.* Good verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to follow instructions.* Must be willing and able to travel to and work in clients’ homes and/or EverTrue communities within the following geographical areas:* *Missouri:* St. Louis County, St. Louis City, and St. Charles County.* *Illinois:* Madison County, Monroe County, and St. Clair County.* Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance preferred for providing transportation to clients who need assistance with errands and offsite appointments.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsThe physical activities and demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
