Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services seeks a compassionate CNA to provide daily living assistance and participate in resident care plans.

You will support residents with ADLs, meals, and mobility, document care, and collaborate with licensed staff to maintain a safe, respectful environment. The role requires communication with residents and flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification in MO/IL or PA enrollment eligibility.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents.
• Prior direct patient/resident care experience preferred.
• Enrollment in PA Nurse Aide Registry or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ comfort and provide ADL care per scope of practice.
• Answer call lights and report observations to the nurse.
• Assist with personal care while promoting independence.
• Observe residents and report changes to nursing staff.
• Participate in care/service plans to improve residents’ lives.
• Assist during meals and provide full assistance when needed.
• Build relationships with residents and families with compassion.
• Support resident involvement in daily activities and decisions.
• Assist with therapies and treatments under licensed staff guidance.
• Document care provided in clinical records.

Works as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team that focuses on the resident as the director of their own care.Job Responsibilities1. Maintains residents’ comfort; provides physical care with activities of daily living according to scope of practice; answers resident’s call lights and requests; reports observations of residents to the nurse2.
