Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a Home Help Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide personal and healthcare services in clients’ homes. The role follows written directions from the Home Help client care coordinator and aligns with our Christian mission and values.

You will assist with activities of daily living, meal preparation, and light housekeeping, while documenting care and communicating changes to the Home Help team. Travel to client homes in MO/IL may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Current CNA certification
• Prior experience with the older adult population
• Private Duty or long-term care experience preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Willingness to travel to client homes in specified MO/IL areas
• Driver's license and auto insurance preferred to provide services

• Provides light housekeeping (bed making, laundry, ironing)
• Monitors client status and communicates changes to RN or office staff
• Prepares meals and assists during meals for those needing full support

• Reminds clients to take medications as prescribed
• Communicates schedule and availability with Home Help office staff
• Completes paperwork per company policy

Job Description:

Summary

A Home Help Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing personal and healthcare services according to written directions prepared by the Home Help client care coordinator; Maintains the Core Values that support the Christian Mission of EverTrue, "Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest".

Responsibilities

1. Assists in activities of daily living (personal hygiene, eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, exercise and ambulation)
2. Provides household duties such as bed making, personal laundry, ironing and light housekeeping
3. Observes the client closely and identifies changing needs and conditions; Communicates changes in physical or emotional status of client to Home Help RN or appropriate office staff
4. Provides meal preparation based on client’s needs; Assists client during mealtimes and feeds clients that need full assistance
5. May accompany client to doctor appointments; may do shopping or run errands
6. May remind client to take medications
7. Communicates with home help office staff regarding schedule of availability
8. Completes all necessary paperwork and submits according to company policy
9. Documents all tasks performed in client’s home on appropriate paperwork

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Current CNA certification
• Previous experience working with the older adult population
• Prior experience in Private Duty or long-term care preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Must be willing and able to travel to and work at clients’ homes and/or EverTrue Communities within the St. Louis County, St. Louis City, and St. Charles County geographical areas (if working in Missouri); or Madison County, Monroe County and St. Clair Country geographical areas (if working in Illinois)
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance preferred to provide services to clients needing transportation to run errands and attend offsite appointments

EverTrue Pay & Benefits

Pay grade: 09, $16.20/hour to $25.15/hour.

Eligible for shift differentials: Yes. $1.50/hour evenings; $1.00/hour nights; $1.00/hour weekends (States of IL & MO; May vary in other states)
