Job summary

CAMS is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician / Custodial Worker for a community in Kure Beach, NC. The role combines hands-on maintenance with daily custodial care to keep shared spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and guests.

The position pays $20.00 hourly, with varying shift options and on-call compensation. Requires high school diploma and a valid driver’s license, with prior maintenance or custodial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality and strong work ethic are required.
• Previous maintenance, building operations or custodial experience preferred.
• Experience with painting, drywall patching, fixture replacement and minor repairs is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and chemical handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and common areas daily for safety, maintenance, repair and cleanliness concerns.
• Perform routine light maintenance such as replacing bulbs, changing air filters, patching drywall, pressure washing and basic repairs.
• Assist with minor plumbing and electrical tasks as appropriate.
• Complete preventative maintenance and seasonal upkeep.
• Keep restrooms, clubhouse and other common areas clean and organized.
• Report issues and coordinate with vendors for repairs and upkeep.
