Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada seeks a Part-time Instructor to teach History 101 and History 102 through the Jumpstart program at a Clark County School District high school. Teaching assignments will include college-level History courses delivered through the Jumpstart Program.

Responsibilities include preparing lectures and course materials, developing exams and assessments, evaluating student learning and mastery of outcomes, and participating in program/course assessments for accreditation.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be pre-approved by the social sciences department and the Jumpstart Program before submitting an application in Workday.
• Must have at least a Master's degree in history from a regionally accredited college or university and at least 18 graduate credits in the subject being taught (also from a regionally accredited college or university).

Responsibilities

• Prepare lectures and course materials.
• Develop exams, quizzes, and other assessment activities.
• Evaluate student learning and mastery of course outcomes.
• Participate in course and program assessment activities for accreditation and other purposes.
