Job summary

Uwharrie Charter Academy is seeking a dedicated High School Interventionist/Tutor for a part-time role at the Asheboro campus. The position offers flexible scheduling between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., up to 29 hours weekly, supporting grades 9–12 with targeted math and ELA interventions.

The ideal candidate will be student-focused, able to build strong relationships, and capable of using data to tailor interventions in collaboration with teachers and school leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong content knowledge in mathematics and English language arts.
• Experience tutoring or teaching preferred.
• Familiarity with North Carolina standards and high school EOC is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group tutoring and intervention for high school students.
• Support mathematics and English/ELA instruction.
• Identify student needs using data and teacher feedback.
• Monitor progress and document interventions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers to align with classroom instruction and standards.
