Job summary

Graves County High School in Mayfield, KY is seeking a part-time Assistant Tennis Coach to support the head coach in daily and long-range athletic activities. You will assist with planning and conducting learning experiences for student-athletes and help foster teamwork and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, be able to pass an ABLE test, background check, AIDS awareness training, and hold current first aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; progress toward GED as allowed by Kentucky law.
• ABLE test, criminal background check, AIDS awareness training, and current first aid/CPR certification required.
• Ability to assist coaches in planning and guiding athletic activities with student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist coaches in daily and long-range athletic activities.
• Assist in planning the athletic program.
• Conduct learning experiences under head coach direction with small groups of student athletes.
• Help guide participants toward a harmonious team spirit.
• Provide escort and supervision to athletes during team travel.
• Recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms to the head coach for health and safety.
• Perform other non-coaching duties assigned by principal or head coach.
