Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
• Plans and schedules, with the head coach, a regular program of practice for each student.
• Assists the head coach in scheduling all intramural and interscholastic contests.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate.
• Inspects the facility or area to ensure safety conditions are appropriate.
• Helps enforce the established performance criteria for eligibility in competition.
• Helps enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
• Helps supervise paraprofessionals when assigned to the coaching staff.
• Participates in functions and activities as described in the regular teacher job description.
• Performs related duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Principal.
