Job summary

The University System of New Hampshire's UNH TRIO Upward Bound program seeks an Academic Year Advisor to provide advising, mentoring, and college-access support to high school students in Manchester area. This temporary, part-time role offers about 25 hours per week at $25 per hour, through the end of the first semester (mid-January).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or related field is required.
• Experience working with high school students and families in a teaching or counseling role is preferred.
• Ability to engage with diverse communities and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and mentoring to Upward Bound participants at target high schools.
• Assist with career and college exploration, college admissions guidance, and SAT/ACT preparation.
• Maintain progress records and collaborate with school counselors and program staff.
