Job summary

CSN's Biology Department is seeking a Part-time Herbarium Assistant to support day-to-day herbarium operations at the Henderson campus. Responsibilities include mounting and databasing incoming specimens, filing them into the collection, and pulling materials for Botany and Biology classes and visiting researchers.

You will sort specimens by instructor needs, update taxonomy to reflect current BIOL 331 standards, supervise students and volunteers, and assist the collection manager with events

Qualifications

• Experience working in herbarium settings.
• Ability to manage specimen labeling and filing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
