Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with public-school experience
• Experience as a school administrator preferred
• Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding student discipline and district policies
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, data management, and file systems

Responsibilities

• Establish suspension review dates with a parent/guardian per policy
• Provide clear procedures to students and guardians
• Prepare written reports to students, guardians, and Board post-review
• Process written requests for suspension hearings with the Board
• Present evidence at Board meetings as part of hearing processes
• Conduct expulsion hearings with parents/guardians and administration
• Record hearing proceedings for the Board
• Deliver written reports including the Hearing Officer’s recommendations
