Job summary

Virsono Hearing Centers is seeking a motivated Hearing Instrument Specialist to deliver remote hearing healthcare using telemedicine. The role involves conducting assessments, consultations, and fitting Earlens solutions with patients.

This on-site position requires a Bachelor’s degree, state licensure, and at least 2 years of experience in fitting and dispensing hearing instruments. Clinic days: Tuesday and Friday.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hearing Instrument Specialist to provide remote hearing healthcare services for Earlens hearing devices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting hearing assessments, consultations, and making recommendations through telemedicine technology.

Looking for someone to work in clinic Tuesday & Fridays.

Hourly Rate: $30 - $40/ hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct hearing assessments using remote technology and interpret results
  • Recommend and fit appropriate Earlens solutions for patients
  • Provide remote counseling and support to patients regarding hearing loss, Earlens hearing aid use, and other related issues
  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record system
  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record system
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and referral sources as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in hearing technology and telehealth technology
  • Provide excellent patient care and customer service
  • Meet productivity and quality standards as set by the clinic
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Audiology, Hearing Science, or related field
  • Valid state license to practice as a Hearing Instrument Specialist
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hearing instrument fitting and dispensing
  • Experience with telehealth technology and remote patient care is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer and telehealth technology
