Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with driving badge management responsibilities in Albany, GA. You will protect patients, visitors, and staff, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents within a healthcare environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to work a scheduled shift, and adherence to site policies.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas; report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
