Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Visitor Services Patrol in Albany, GA. You will provide front-line security, assist patients and visitors, and maintain a safe environment at a healthcare location.

You will monitor access, perform patrols, respond to incidents, and document activities. The role requires a high school diploma and may require CPR, background check, and drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and access-control procedures in accordance with facility requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, hospital personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
