Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required in a customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Answers, screens, and processes incoming calls in a professional manner.
• Directs patient access by greeting, scheduling, checking in, and canceling appointments for multiple providers.
• Updates patient demographics and insurance data at scheduling and check-in.
• Follows phone scripts, clinical decision trees, and scheduling criteria.
• Uses knowledge to determine appointment type and urgency and triage when needed.
• Sends accurate communications to physicians or other providers.
• Diffuses challenging situations and seeks supervisor assistance when appropriate.
