You will help organize, store, and verify records while supporting the HIM team.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, data-entry skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion; a HIM-related degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; HIM degree preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of data entry and database systems.
• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of medical records process.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates confidence and proficiency in use of computer.
• Professional appearance and manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate records of all patient information from sorting, analyzing, releasing, storing.
• Assist in backing-up HIM Technicians and other assigned duties as needed.
• Record data in paper or computer files and ensure privacy compliance.
