The role requires HIPAA knowledge, data entry skills, and strong communication. You will organize, classify, and store records, ensure privacy compliance, and support backups for the HIM team. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, EAP and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Degree in the Health Information Management field preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of data entry and database systems.
• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of medical records process.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates confidence and proficiency in use of computer.
• Professional appearance and manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process patient medical data and record it in paper or computer files.
• Organize and store information in paper files or electronic database.
• Ensure compliance with privacy laws (HIPAA).
• Back up HIM Technicians and perform assigned duties as needed.
