Select Medical Corporate Headquarters is seeking a Health Information Technician for a full-time, on-site role at the Mechanicsburg, PA location. The position involves maintaining electronic health records, processing records, scanning and filing reports, and releasing information in compliance with HIPAA.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in healthcare and customer service, and familiarity with HIPAA and ROI processes.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in the healthcare industry.
• At least one year working in a customer service related field.
• Detail oriented and resourceful problem solver.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.
• Experience with patient health records and ROI processes.
• Experience using CareLink.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate electronic records to meet licensure and certification requirements.
• Process records and complete physician records.
• Scan and file transcribed reports and other documentation.
• Store and retrieve documents securely.
• Release confidential information in compliance with policy.
• Maintain confidential medical records.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and leadership as needed.
• Support data collection and verification (LTRAX).
