Job summary

The Health Information faculty member designs, prepares, and delivers courses within the Health Information certificate, associate, and bachelor programs, ensuring alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Active AHIMA credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS).
• Five years of current work experience in Health Information Management.
• Intermediate level computer and technology skills.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, teach, and mentor students in the profession.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging instruction across Health Information disciplines.
• Design, implement, and evaluate curriculums aligned with accreditation standards.
• Assess student learning outcomes using diverse methods.
• Use inclusive teaching methods to engage a diverse student population.
• Integrate educational technologies into course design and delivery.
• Support college and program accreditation processes.
• Engage in department, division, and college initiatives.
• Maintain current industry credentials and participate in professional development.
• Adhere to college policies and procedures.
