Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Child Development Associate preferred.
• Valid Kentucky driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assists teaching staff with implementation of curricula in the classroom.
• Applies developmentally appropriate practices.
• Assists with daily activities and classroom safety.
• Maintains system for assessing and tracking child progress.
• Builds home-school connections with parents and provides curriculum information.
• Maintains relationships with community partners and supports program needs.
• Ensures a safe and healthy classroom environment and compliance with standards.
• Assists in implementing IFSPs/IEPs.
• Complies with Head Start Performance Standards and applicable laws.
• Participates in meetings, events, and training; works with center staff.
• Completes a minimum of 15 hours of professional development annually.
