Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
  • Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
  • Proactively approach and interact with customers to recommend products and services.
  • Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transactions are completed accurately.
  • Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service according to Lowe's policies.
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, and loading merchandise.
  • Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects.
  • Show sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Communicate product information, warranties, and benefits.
  • Train and develop associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
  • Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
  • Provide proper change and support to Front End associates.
  • Supervise, coach, and support the Front End Team.
  • Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
  • Answer calls and direct or take messages as needed.
  • Open additional registers when necessary.
  • Assist in line vesting for quicker checkout.
In-stock
  • Prepare the register area at shift start/end, ensuring equipment functionality and stock.
  • Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
  • Handle customer orders, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
  • Review and process online orders and returns.
  • Verify prices and look up product info for price matching.
  • Record store item usage.
Clean and Safe Stores
  • Manage safety bags and monitor cash in drawers.
  • Monitor store entrances/exits for security and assist customers/associates triggering alarms.
  • Detect shoplifting and communicate risks promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization per standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and hazard checks.
  • Follow safety protocols related to stocking and equipment use.
  • Operate store equipment as needed.
General
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Less than 1 year of experience with computer use.
  • Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
  • 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Preferences:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in product sales, including warranties and add-ons.
  • Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe’s retail stores.
  • Supervisory experience in any field.
  • Experience in shoplifting detection.
