Job summary

YMCA in Rancho San Diego, CA seeks a Gymnastics Coordinator to support the gymnastics department by managing safety, class scheduling and program delivery for children aged 2–17. In the absence of the Director, you will lead safety, staff coordination, and daily operations with a focus on inclusive, quality programming.

The role is part-time (about 15–18 hours per week) with coaching of Xcel team activities and weekend competition support.

Qualifications

• Formal education typically a High School Diploma or GED with ability to read and write for job performance.
• 3+ years of work experience as a Gymnastics Coach or related leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Manages safety, class scheduling, staff coordination and program delivery.
• Oversees daily operations of the gymnastics department in the absence of the Director.
• Teaches all levels for children aged 2-17 and leads team practice when needed.
• Provides participant evaluations to place participants by skill level.
• Acts as the primary contact for parents regarding schedules and program updates.
• Collaborates with Camp and Gymnastics directors to organize daily operations and resources.
• Develops teardown and schedule outlines to ensure safety regulations and conduct policies.
• Represents Gymnastics in YMCA campaigns and community events.
• Organizes monthly gymnastics staff meetings and supports scheduling/training issues.
