Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA seeks a gymnastics coach to join our Philadelphia program. This is a part-time, hourly position starting at $15 per hour, providing engaging gymnastics experiences for youth within progressive or competitive tracks.

You will arrive early, support sessions, document progress, and communicate with parents while upholding YMCA standards for safety and conduct. Prior gymnastics experience and strong people skills are required; USAG safety certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills and be able to meet participants at their level of experience.
• Enjoy working with children and maintaining positive relationships with parents.
• Ability to support and supervise gymnastics programs following YMCA standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, encouraging environment for members and participants in YMCA gymnastics programs.
• Arrive 15 minutes early for scheduled classes and prepare equipment.
• Complete progress reports and communicate with parents; take attendance and incident reports as needed.
• Assist in teaching program skills and character development per YMCA standards.
• Supervise participants and actively participate in all aspects of the program.
• Wear proper YMCA-approved attire and maintain professional conduct.
