Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a part-time gymnastics coach to help children grow through structured, progressive programs. You will work with dedicated staff to create a safe, enjoyable experience in our YMCA gymnastics offerings.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• 3-5 years of experience in gymnastics setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills with ability to meet others at their level
• Enjoyment from working with children and building positive relationships with parents
• USAG Safety Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, encouraging environment for members and participants in YMCA gymnastics programs
• Arrive 15 minutes early for class and set up equipment
• Evaluate skills and complete progress and incident reports, attendance, and parent communications
• Assist instruction of program skills and character development per YMCA standards
• Supervise participants and actively participate in all program aspects
• Wear proper YMCA attire and maintain professional appearance
• Manage participant behavior with a collaborative approach involving supervision and parents
• Follow approved positive support techniques to develop gymnast skills
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
