Job summary

Town of Cramerton is seeking a part-time Gym Supervisor/Special Events Assistant to help plan and promote town events and to supervise the C.B. Huss Recreation Complex.

Weekend and night work are required, and the role reports to the Parks and Recreation Director. This position involves coordinating with the Communications Specialist to publicize programs, supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring the center runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience with special events.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Advanced First Aid and CPR certifications; valid Driver's License are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and promote special events.
• Publicize events through media with Communications Specialist.
• Engage in public relations and attend community meetings.
• Evaluate events.
• Obtain vendors for town events.
• Recommend purchases for event programs.
• Open/close CB Huss Recreation Center.
• Assist youth, athletics, adult, and senior programs.
• Concession stand inventory and stocking.
• Scan in gym and weightroom participants.
• Clean recreation center.
• Perform other tasks as required.
