The Environmental Learning Center is seeking a part-time Guest Services Specialist to welcome visitors, process admissions, and guide guests in campus programming. The role includes assisting in the gift shop and maintaining the Welcome Center, with strong emphasis on customer service and member engagement.
Outbound duties include booking excursions, educating guests on offerings, and supporting weekend events; weekend/evening shifts may be required to accommodate special events.
The schedule for this part-time position is Friday through Sunday. Reports to - Guest Services Manager and Executive Director Back-up - Campus Connections Coordinator and part-time Guest Services staff, Operations Manager, Finance Manager, Development Officer
Overview Statement of Position Duties and Responsibilities - Responsible for welcoming guests to campus, answering phone inquiries, collecting admissions and providing information about campus activities. Assists customers with shopping in the gifts area, including ringing up purchases of items, programs and events.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities -
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities - Multitasker, great customer service, detail oriented, works well with the public, good communication skills, cash-handling skills, strong technology skills needed. Strong passion for environmental education and knowledge of Florida flora and fauna preferred. Ability to manage multiple software systems is a plus.
