Job summary

Gulfport Sportsplex is seeking a part-time cashier to join the Food & Beverage department. The position involves handling cash, assisting customers, and supporting dining and concessions operations in Gulfport, MS.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, balancing the drawer, assisting in food preparation, and ensuring proper hygiene and safety standards. Prior cash register experience and strong customer service skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Cash register experience preferred
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with outstanding service
• Operate electronic cash register and credit card machine
• Perform basic math calculations
• Balance drawer and manage daily income
• Communicate with the public in a polite, friendly manner
• Clean dining areas and assist in food preparation/serving
• Clear tables, wash dishes, and manage cleaning duties
• Take and record temperatures of food for safe transport
• Assist in unloading and stocking food and supplies
• Assist in party rentals: check-in and setup
• Report safety or cash issues to management
