The Guest Services Attendant (Part-Time) is one of the most visible team members and in many cases, is the customers' first encounter with the customer service experience at Riverside Golf Course. Excellent delivery of friendly and outgoing customer interaction is an essential to this role and sets the tone for our customers' day!
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Positively interact with guests to ensure their visit is a first-class experience from the time of arrival, throughout their golfing experience. Be an ambassador for the Riverside golf property at all times.
- Consistently monitor the parking lot for incoming guest(s), meeting golfers with a fresh, clean golf cart and verbal welcome and offer to retrieve their golf bag.
- Stage clean golf carts for presentation to guests.
- Maintain the parking lot area, property frontage, and clubhouse grounds for any trash and unwanted debris, making sure that any trash or debris gets thrown in a proper receptacle or the dumpster.
- Assist clubhouse staff with performing hourly restroom maintenance. This includes necessary cleaning along with trash removal and restocking supplies.
- Clean and restock restrooms at the end of day's business.
- Practice safety and courtesy to golfers at all times.
- Promote and be a steward of the golf course at all times.
- Come to work on-time and properly groomed and in uniform for every scheduled shift.
- Be knowledgeable of daily course conditions and other important and pertinent happening during each shift.
- During closing shifts, help prepare the facility for the next day's business. A "closing checklist" will be provided as a tool for ensuring all closing Guest Service duties are completed every day which will include at minimum: washing, drying, re-stocking, parking, and plugging in golf carts for re-charging; and ensuring the facility trash and any loose trash has been picked up and properly disposed at the end of each evening if working a closing shift is disposed of appropriately each night.
- Assist with golf cart preventative maintenance; to include battery terminal maintenance, battery watering maintenance, golf cart tire maintenance, detailing golf carts, and daily rotation of golf carts to ensure even wear and use.
- Work with the other Guest Service Attendants and the golf shop staff to ensure the golf cart storage areas are kept clean, tidy, and organized. Report any equipment issues, such as faulty golf cart chargers to the Head Golf Professional as soon as they are discovered.
- Assist the golf shop staff with setup of, administration of, and clean-up of any golf outing or group business.
- Regular attendance at work.
- Performs all other job related duties as required or as become apparent.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Ability to transport self from building to building. Employee will be exposed to seasonal temperatures and will walk, stand, kneel, squat and twist. Must be able to walk on loose, uneven and sloped ground. Employee will be exposed to insects as well as chemical, mechanical, water and dust hazards. Ability to routinely lift materials weighing up to 25 pounds including lifting and assisting customers with their golf bags and belongings. Kneeling, reaching and twisting to stock or retrieve items, as well as perform maintenance or preventative maintenance on the golf cart fleet.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Must have an outgoing personality and be customer service oriented. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact and communicate both orally and in writing. Must be available to work weekdays, weekend days, and holidays.
Minimum Education, Experience And Certification
Must be at least 16 years of age or older. Minimum 8th grade education required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid Texas driver's license with driving record that meets City guidelines. Golf experience preferred.
Part-time employees are not eligible to receive the City of Victoria benefits package.
