About Festival Foods

We are a Wisconsin family- and employee-owned grocer committed to community service and providing exceptional guest experiences. We operate over 40 supermarkets across Wisconsin.

Job Title: Guest Service Representative (GSR)

Reports To: Guest Services Manager

Availability: 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Responsibilities
  1. Provide Helpful Service: Offer excellent guest service through friendly greetings, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism.
  2. Lead by Example: Reinforce company culture, uphold service standards, and guide team members at the Service Desk, Cashiers, Baggers, and Cart Runners.
  3. Utilize Leadership Tools: Use evaluation and coaching tools to support staff development.
  4. Oversee Operations: Monitor guest service activities, ensure compliance, and maintain department cleanliness.
  5. Support and Direct Guests: Manage checkout lines and assist team members as needed.
  6. Manage Scheduling: Adjust staff schedules based on business needs while ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  7. Maintain Staffing Levels: Proactively call in additional staff during busy times.
  8. Enforce Labor Laws: Schedule minor employees appropriately, respecting legal guidelines.
  9. Optimize Scheduling: Adjust daily schedules based on sales and guest traffic.
  10. Communicate Effectively: Notify shift managers of assistance needs and handle guest service responsibilities efficiently.
  11. Manage Lane Flow: Open additional checkout lanes during busy periods and keep a cash drawer ready for use.
  12. Track Attendance: Use the GSR Shift Report to document lateness and absences.
  13. Cart Management: Ensure sufficient carts are available and efficiently managed.
  14. Honor Commitments: Maintain regular attendance and provide notice for absences.
  15. Support the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Must be able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and operate equipment with manual dexterity. Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position with flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on availability.
